‘Success through Service Panel’ Shows Impact of Volunteerism on Successful Career

Over 100 young professionals participated in Generation LEAD’s day of service in partnership with the University of Maryland. Dionne Calhoun was honored to serve as a panelist on “Success through Service,” as an alumna of the University of Maryland and an executive board member of the University of Maryland Black Alumni Association.

The interactive discussion featured Kristin Post, Founder of “Rotary Listens” Community Peace Initiative; John Hill, CEO, Pinnacle Advisory Group; and Matthew Brandt, Professional Speaker, and Naval Veteran.

The panel presented to the young professionals on how volunteering impacted their career path, the importance of mentors; how they connected with those mentors and the impact that mentorship had on their successful careers.
